This week was a busy week, I spent 2-4 hours every day on the internet, I was on Twitter,Facebook,YouTube, Jing or many other places doing research for my proposal.
All this new technology is mind boggling. This week as I worked on the protopage and netvibes i began to realize how much the internet has changed in the past 3 years, every time I spend a significant amount of time on the internet its like I am addicted to the information and I want to seek more. I think it is the adventure in discovery that sparks my interest most. I love to learn and since I work with technology everyday I am fascinated by all the rapid changing elements I can discover with the click of a mouse!
I decided to go with protopage vs. netvibes.I found it much easier to work with, I haven't figured out how to add my blog to my page yet, but I will do that today. I created a protopage for my mom over the weekend, she has trouble navigating the internet so I build her page and put her email account, her pinterest, facebook and her news and weather widgets on her page, you would have thought she won the lottery she was so excited about her new space.I enjoyed playing with the technology and I helped her simplify a problem that was causing her frustration.
I continue to learn and explore Twitter. I have had so many ideas about using and sharing with students through Twitter. The possibility for the classroom is endless.
